Band and Color Guard
The students who are involved in these programs develop lifelong skills and friendships. The Marching Band and Guard programs at Oak Grove are considered one of the finest in the state. The various Band Programs in which your student can participate are:or Guard, Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz A, and Jazz B.
This award-winning music program has accomplished the following:

Top Northern California Marching Band in the Western Band Association for 8 of the last 11 years in our division

Top 15 overall regardless of size in the Western Band Association at State Championships 15 of the past 19 years

Seven-time California Colorguard Circuit Champions: four times Open Class, one time Scholastic A, and one time Independent A.

Winter Percussion
Students in Grades 7-12 are eligible to participate.Please fill out the Personal Automobile Use form if you plan to carpool students to shows.

Chaperone Responsibilities
When the band and guard travel to performances on buses, OGBB provides chaperones who ride on the buses with students. It’s a fun and busy job. Learn more about being a chaperone here.
